What we keep
Privacy policy
Last updated 19 October 2026
Pedalatry helps you plan pedalboards. We keep as little about you as the site needs to work, we don't sell it, and we don't use advertising trackers.
What we keep
- Your account, if you make one: your name, your email address and your password, which is stored only as a one-way hash. If you turn on two-factor authentication or passkeys, we keep what they need to work. If you sign in with Google or Apple, they give us your name, your email address (Apple may give a private relay address instead) and, from Google, the address of your profile picture; we keep those on your account and get no password.
- Your boards: the pedals, their positions, the board, the power supply and the wiring, and whether you have shared the board. A board built without an account stays in your own browser until you save it.
- Clicks on shop links: which product and shop, where on the site the click came from, and your country and shopping region. We never record your IP address or who you are with a click.
- Messages you send us through the contact form or the makers’ form: what you write, and the name and email you give, so we can reply. If you are signed in, we note which account sent it. We delete a message on request.
- Error reports, when something breaks, without personal details, so we can fix it.
Cookies
We set only the cookies the site needs or that you choose:
- a session cookie and a security token, to keep you signed in and forms safe;
- your light or dark mode choice;
- your shopping region (US, UK or Europe), if you pick one.
We set no advertising or analytics cookies. When you follow a link to a shop, that shop may set its own cookies, including the one that tells it we sent you; its own privacy policy applies there.
Who else is involved
- our host, which runs the site and its database;
- Cloudflare, which stores uploaded files, protects the site, and checks that our forms are sent by people;
- an email service, to send password-reset emails and to pass your messages to us;
- an error-monitoring service, for the reports above;
- Google or Apple, only if you choose to sign in with them.
Each handles data only to provide its service to us. We don't share your details with shops or manufacturers.
Shop links
Some links to shops are affiliate links: if you buy through one, the shop may pay us a commission, at no cost to you. It never changes which pedals, power supplies or shops we suggest.
Your choices
You can change your details, or delete your account and every board in it, from your settings. To ask what we hold about you, or anything else, write to hello@pedalatry.com.
Children
Pedalatry is not meant for children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it.
